Heart of the Valley

Spring is in the air, the trees are in blossom and there is the odd warm day in Doreen. September is the month of Heart of the Valley – the college’s art festival. This year it falls on Thursday 19th September from 6pm until 9:30pm.

All the families of our college are invited to come along and celebrate the creativity of our community. Primary and secondary students and all the staff have been invited to participate and, once again, there are loads of talented people ready to show their particular skills. There will be music, drama, poetry, displays of art, woodwork, food technology, robotics, media, Lego and more.

This year’s theme is ‘Habitat’ and we will be interpreting this theme in various ways. Habitat encompasses both the natural and built worlds and will be represented in the artwork, photography and various home group displays that will include a giant nest and a giant cubby house!

Come along and enjoy a hot chocolate and sausage sizzle on us, or buy food and drink from the food trucks. There are lolly bags for the first 200 children who finish their passport page. Look out for more information in your emails. We look forward to seeing you there – in our habitat!

 Secondary Arts Week

As part of the PVCC celebration of Arts Week, on Friday 20th September there will be a 'Dress Up day' (not Free Dress day) in the Secondary School.

The Arts Department invites staff and secondary students to dress up as characters or personalities from the Arts - this could be film, theatre, music, a visual artist etc.

We look forward to seeing some wonderful displays of creativity on the Red Carpet!
