Congratulations to Mae 6T, Saihge 6T, Zara 6G, Archie 6G, Raphaela 5L, Aisling 5L, Jack 5B and Harper 5B who represented St John's at the Emerging Leaders Forum (Primary) facilitated by The University of Melbourne's Asia Education Foundation.
The Emerging Leaders Forum (Primary) is designed for Victorian students in Years 5 and 6, offering chances for them to connect and collaborate with peers from around the world. Students will explore intercultural communication, collaboration and what it means to be a globally competent leader.
The aim of the Emerging Leaders Forums is to provide earlier level curriculum entry points for Victorian schools, enabling them to embed global learning and engagement activities into their teaching, learning and student engagement initiatives. It also provides a learning pathway for engagement in the Emerging Leaders Forum - Junior. Throughout the program students engage in a range of activities and regular breakout rooms in small groups with peers from other schools and countries.
Learning Outcomes:
The St John's team of emerging leaders attended the first of three online sessions this week. Day 2 & 3 will happen next week culminating in a group project to be presented on the final day of the leadership forum.
