State Champion!!
Juan D participated in Division athletics on 14 October, achieving first place in U10 200m and 800m. He progressed to Regionals, which was held today at Tom Kelly athletics track.
He ran two amazing races and achieved first place in both the 200m and the 800m.
On Wednesday 6 November, Juan competed in the 800m and the 200m at the 2024 Track and Field State Championships.
He took first position in the 800m and with that, is now the boys U10 800m State Champion.
In the 200m, he just missed out on a podium position after finishing fourth.

Division Athletics
Fiona R (5C) competed in the Division Athletics Competition on Monday, 14th October. She won 1st place in 800m track for the Boroondara Division and she will be competing in the Eastern Regional Athletics Competition on Thursday, 24th October.
Division Hot Shots Tennis
Congratulations go out to the Auburn South Girls Hots Shots Tennis team.
The team players were Arya M, Annabelle W, Victoria H, Isabella Z, Alyssa L, Jemma C, Emily D, Megan T, Camilla M V and Amber M.
The Division competition was played on Friday 25 October at the Burwood East Tennis Club and the team competed against Balwyn, Hawthorn West and Ashburton Primary Schools. The girls convincingly won all 3 rounds.
The team is excited to go onto play the Regional Competition in mid-November in Ringwood.
Regional Softball
Congratulations to the ASPS softball team who have won their way through to Regional Finals to be held on Monday 11 November.
2024 Victorian Interschools Snowsports Results
On 19-21 August 2024, six students from Auburn South Primary School competed in the 2024 Victorian Interschools Snowsports Championships held at Mt Buller.
The competitors included Bowen Z, Olivia G, Madeleine K, Thomas G, Archer G and Ollie G.
The students represented the school in a range of skiing events, including alpine giant slalom, ski cross, and moguls. All competitors put in a gutsy effort in some trying conditions, particularly on the second day of the competition where they encountered rain, hail, and poor visibility.
Congratulations to Madeleine K who qualified for Nationals in two of her events - Division 5 Girls moguls and Division 5 Girls alpine giant slalom.
A big thank you to the school and parents who supported the students to compete in a fun winter competition.
We hope to see some more ASPS competitors out on the slopes next year!
Grizzlies U10 Boys Basketball Grand Final
Congratulations to the Year 2 boys Grizzlies basketball team who won their Grand Final on the 14th September 2024.
Congratulations to ASPS Students: Archer P, Beau M, Charlie M, Christos K, Damon K, Edison P, George C, Xavier T.
It was a very competitive game with a close finish. The boys displayed great teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the season and during the grand final. Well done Grizzlies on the win!
A special thank you to the Grizzlies coach Nathan Miratana who volunteers his time to coach boys.
