Dr Justin Coulson Parent Webinar: Wednesday 4 December

Join Dr Justin Coulson, one of Australia's leading parenting and wellbeing experts, for a live webinar on Wednesday 4 December at 6.30 pm. 

As a friend of the Auburn South community (Justin ran a parent session for our school in 2023), Justin has generously donated his time to support our school. 

Justin will discuss how to develop a school holiday health and wellbeing plan for you and your family and why it's important.  He will unpack how to flourish even if you or your children are in the midst of mental health challenges and which small shifts you can make now that will have a massive impact on your mental health.  

And, as connection with your child is key in all of Justin's parenting advice, he will also explore with you how to foster trusting, safe relationships.  Justin will show you how children flourish when we minimise control but maximise our warmth and involvement, and establish healthy boundaries.

Justin earned his PhD in Positive Psychology from the University of Wollongong, is the author of nine parenting books and parent, with his wife Kylie, to 6 children. With Kylie, he co-hosts the number 1 parenting podcast in Australia, The Happy Families Podcast, and he is also the co-host of Parental Guidance on Channel Nine.

2024 City to South

Congratulations to our wonderful Year 6 students who braved the heat to conquor the 8.5km journey from Alexandra Gardens in the City to ASPS! This is an incredible achievment and run or walk, all participating students, parents and staff should feel very proud! Special thanks to the Year 6 team (led by Mr Markey), staff and an army of parent helpers who made this day and event the success that it was!

Junior School Sports Day 

Congratulations to all of our wonderful Prep-Year 2 students for their efforts at this week's Junior School Sports Day! Thank you to Mike McDiarmid, student leaders staff and parent helpers for making this such a special and successful event.
