Deputy Principal

Where has the year gone???
I saw Christmas decorations in a store the other day. I'm sure it was just yesterday that we were welcoming the new Foundation kids to our school and all of a sudden they are ready for Year 1. The seasons have followed each other in quick succession (or so it seems) and we find ourselves enjoying the sunshine and the blue sky and the beginning of Summer! Yesterday our youngest students enjoyed the lawn as they headed outside for a picnic. Hopefully more of those as we near the end of the school year.
Leadership 2025
No doubt this afternoon (as I write) we will welcome back a bunch of tired, worn out and contented young people, who by the looks on all the social platforms have had the most wonderful three days away. Our Year 5 and 6 students have met their fears head on and engaged in fantastic experiences that have challenged them and made them step out of their comfort zone.
It has also provided some valuable learning experiences for our next group of young leaders who took on extra responsibilities at school whilst the senior students were away.
Thanks to the following for their diligence and positive attitude towards their roles this week....
# Olivia for monitoring the doors at morning tea and lunchtime
# Lawrence for the icy poles we sold on Friday
# Madelyn and Mariana for overseeing everything and making sure all jobs were done.
We are going to miss this year's Year 6's but I am supremely confident that the school is in safe hands going into 2026 and beyond. We have a great number of young people who want to lead and continue to improve this school.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Marty
