The Grow Crew Fundraiser
I would like to congratulate the boys who raised $80 from selling produce and seeds from the school garden. Their efforts have supported the Tour de Cure, an organisation dedicated to funding vital cancer research.
We were proud to donate the proceeds to the fundraising page of our Principal, Mrs Corcoran, who is a valued member of the Tour de Cure support crew.
Science
We have had an amazing few weeks in Science!
Our Year 1 and 2 students have been learning about lifecycles and habitats. They explored the school grounds in search of microhabitats and used playdough to model the lifecycle of a butterfly.
Our Prep students have been learning about camouflage and even made their own stick insects.
Once completed, we took them outside to investigate whether their creations blended into the environment.
Year 3 and 4 students have been exploring the Earth’s structure and participated in a very exciting volcano experiment. They created volcanoes out of clay and then used baking soda and vinegar to produce erupting and very messy results!
It has been a fun-filled and engaging time in the Science room.
