Our School Review Has Commenced

Our School Review officially began on Thursday, 30 October, with the Review Panel meeting for the first of three sessions. The process will continue over the coming weeks, providing a valuable opportunity to reflect on our achievements over the past four years, celebrate what’s working well, and identify the key priorities that will guide our next phase of improvement.

Our school reviewer, Craig Tanner, was extremely positive about our preparation and organisation, commenting that “I’ve never seen one quite like it!” His feedback was a big acknowledgment of the collective effort that has gone into this important process.

I would like to thank Andrew Harrap for his contribution and insight as a panel participant, and to acknowledge the exceptional work of our leadership team. They represented our school with clarity, confidence, and depth of understanding. Our challenge partners also engaged thoughtfully—questioning, probing, and offering perspectives that were both constructive and thought-provoking. I couldn’t have been prouder.

Day 2 of the review was held on Monday 10th November focused on consultation with our community, where the panel met with groups of teachers, leaders, parents, Education Support Officers, and students to gather feedback and perspectives.

Day 3 will bring the process together, as the panel provides its findings and recommendations to help shape our strategic direction for the next four years.

Student Numbers

There is still movement in our 2026 student numbers with families joining the school and some that are leaving over the next few weeks. At this stage we have planned our workforce plan based on 550 students for 2026. We are planning on having 24 classes.

Class structure is always dependent upon student numbers. This is still being negotiated.

Further details will be shared with our families prior to the end of term in line with DET approved practices.
