Graduate Outcome Awards

Over the last fortnight, teachers have been on the lookout for students who show the Graduate Outcome of RESPECT.

Students who graduate from St Therese’s Primary School are people of RESPECT, who show respect for life, self, others, the wider community and environment.

Last week, we celebrated and acknowledged these students at our assembly with our awards presentation.

Christmas Carols

To celebrate the end of year, we will be holding Christmas Carols in the Altiumbra at 2pm on Friday 12th December. Each class will present a carol that connects with the story Wombat Divine, accompanied by simple movement sequences developed during Performing Arts lessons. The day will also be a Christmas Casual Clothes, gold coin donation in support of the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Families are all welcome to attend and enjoy the festivities.

SSV Division Cricket

Well done to all our cricket stars who competed at the Division Cricket Blast tournament held at CMC on Friday 7th November. We had 4 teams play on the day with both our Boys and Girls Division 1 teams making it through to the final. Both came runners-up but earned their place at the SSV Region event.

A big thank you to Wil Pinniger, Henry Edwards, Maggie Burke and Mrs. Bombardieri for coaching and scoring for the day.

SSV Region Basketball

Our Boys and Girls teams travelled to Swan Hill on 11th November to play in the Region basketball championships. Both teams competed exceptionally well against some tough competition. The boys team went down in the semi-final and our girls' team came home runners-up after a hard-fought final against St. Mary's Swan Hill.

Congratulations to all of our players and a huge thank you to Mr. McInnes, Miss Courtney and Chris Fedke (Eily's dad) for coaching on the day.

SSV Region Cricket

We travelled to Swan Hill again last week, but this time to compete in the SSV Region Cricket Blast Championships.

Our girls' team was competitive on the day, with 1 win and a couple of narrow losses, which put them out of the final. Given that most of the team doesn't play cricket, it was a terrific effort!

Our boys' team went through the day undefeated to play off in the final against Rochester PS. You couldn't have scripted a better final with the final ending in a draw! The teams then had to participate in a "BOWL OFF". Luckily, our boys had their bowling eye in focus, taking 3 early wickets to secure the win! Earning them a place at the upcoming State Championships next week in St. Kilda. Congratulations and good luck next week.

Thanks to our super coaches, Wil Pinniger and Henry Edwards. Mrs. Woods is pretty excited to have another team heading to States!
