Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships:

This term, our Grade 3 and 4 students have been exploring the unit Positive Gender Relations as part of the Respectful Relationships program. Our focus has been on understanding consent, recognising gender-based violence, and learning how to keep ourselves and others safe.

Students have taken part in roleplays, group discussions and reflection activities to develop the confidence to identify unsafe or disrespectful behaviour. A key part of our learning has been practising the No-Go-Tell model, which supports students to say no, move away from unsafe situations, and seek help from a trusted adult.

Throughout the unit, students have shown thoughtfulness, empathy, and a strong willingness to understand how their words and actions can contribute to positive, respectful relationships. We are proud of the way they are building the skills to look out for themselves and others.

We are approaching the exciting time of the term when we will announce our Whole School Reward. Please keep an eye out for this and the details to follow.

At the moment, we are on track for Level 1 – 'Bring Anything but a Bag Day.' Our staff and students are hopeful for a sticker blitz over the coming week, as we would love to reach Level 2, where we can 'Slime our Principal!'

The SRC will be holding a Downball Tournament later in this term as a fundraiser for our school. Today, the SRC clarified the scoring system, the rules, and the awards.

Entry will be by gold coin donation, and winners will be awarded for each cohort:  Prep, 1/2's, 3/4's and 5/6.

Student are asked to register with their classroom teacher by giving a gold coin donation, and getting their name added to the list. The SRC will then organise rounds, to be advised once we have numbers.

In the meantime... get practicing!
