This fortnight...

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had another fun and busy fortnight in our senior building!

The biggest highlight being our student-led production of The Wizard of Oz. All of the and support crew did an amazing job, and Hannah’s leadership and direction were outstanding—she should be really proud. We'd also like to acknowledge Emma's contribution to supporting the kids to take on this passion project, it's been a real highlight of the year!

As part of our Grade 6 transition to Year 7, the BSE band program visited last week and brought a great burst of energy with them. The kids loved hearing about what’s on offer next year and had an absolute blast trying out the different instruments- see photos below.

As part of our Girls in STEAM program, Grade 6 legends, Elsie and Arabella, spent some time this week running coding sessions with our Grade 3/4's. This has been a year long program that the girls have been involved in, completing online science lessons with specialist teachers. See the photos below of our budding Science teachers!

Mr Parkes has officially gone on leave, but not before Daphne cashed in her stickers to deliver a hilarious farewell gift: putting a cream pie straight into Mr Parkes’ face! A perfect way to end our week with some laughter and wish Mr Parkes all the best! See photos below!

A reminder that our swimming program starts next week. Please help students remember to pack a towel, goggles, a change of clothes and some slides or Crocs to slip into before we head off to the pool.

Looking forward to another great couple of weeks with this wonderful group!

Warm regards,

5/6 Team
