From the Principal

Hi everyone,

Once again we have had a busy few weeks here at school! Our Year 1 students had their afternoon tea at school and been on an excursion to Ripponlea! Our JSC students ran our Remembrance Day ceremony exceptionally well and followed up with Crazy Sock Day on Wednesday! Our Foundation students have the Firefighters visiting today and the Year 3 students are at the Koorie Heritage Trust for an excursion. Last Thursday I was also lucky enough to see our students, Sophie, Bella, Maggie, Ruby and Olive in their State events at Lakeside Stadium.

Next Thursday, we begin our School review which will take place over 4 days here at school. Every Department school has a review every 4 years, where the opportunity is taken to reflect and review before setting strategic goals for the coming four years. On Thursday the 27th of November at 8.50am in the PAC there will be an opportunity for parents to speak to the Review team about Teaching and Wellbeing programs here at school.  I will send a reminder closer to the day on Compass but if you are free for 10 - 15 minutes and wish to contribute then we would love to have you come along.

Finally - a call our for parent volunteers to help with our uniform orders. We are very lucky to have the convenience of uniform orders being available here at school, but it does rely on parent volunteers helping out on a rotational basis every Thursday to fulfil the orders placed. Half of our current volunteers are leaving, with their last child graduating at the end of the year and we need to replace them if we are to keep this convenience here at school. If you can spare an hour on a Thursday morning, at least once a month, then please contact the office and speak to Kathy. Whilst the roster would not start until 2026 we would like to have a training session with our current volunteers this year before they depart.
