St Martin de Porres Feast Day Celebrations

Thank you to our wonderful community for celebrating our rich diversity during our St Martin de Porres Feast Day celebrations. It was wonderful to see all the students proudly wearing clothes that represented their family backgrounds and cultures and embracing each other's customs and traditions. It was a wonderful day to learn more about our school history and the story of St Martin de Porres as well as celebrating our diversity in 2023.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

 Medical Management Policy

At St Martin de Porres, the health and safety of our students is our priority. As mandated by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic schools, we must have plans and procedures in place to manage our students' health care needs.

If your child has a condition such as anaphylaxis, asthma, eczema, allergies (including hayfever), diabetes, a specific condition form (Medical Management Plan) must be completed by a doctor and supplied to the school with their photo attached.

If your child requires medication at school, the Medication Authority Form must be completed and signed by the family as well as a medical professional.

As many students' medical plans may expire over the school holidays or expire early in the new year, it is important that all medical plans are updated and/or in date before the start of the new school year. It is a good time to make sure that you check all dates of medical plans and ensure that you have time to see your health care professional before the expiry date.

Once students' Medical Management Plans and Medication Authority Forms are received from the school, your child’s teacher will make time to arrange a teacher parent consultation, where a Student Health Support Plan will be developed.

If documents are not provided to the school, medication can not be administered to your child. Your child can not attend school or excursions without the required documentation.

Below are some examples of specific medical plans that are obtained from a medical professional.
