Parents' Association

Hi All,

The Parents Association (PA) committee is especially looking to put together a new team of volunteers for next year to join our fun and enthusiastic Social and Fundraising Team, with long serving Social and Fundraising team member Viviana Rossios sadly leaving next year, and other long serving team members standing down or moving positions.

The St Bedes Parents Association (PA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for 7pm on Wednesday the 22nd of November 2023 at St Bedes. If you’re interested in joining our Social and Fundraising or PA team, please nominate yourself prior to the  Annual General Meeting by emailing the secretary Leni Pantelios at lenip99@gmail.com or sending Leni an SMS 0414 333 852.  If you would like more details regarding the PA positions, please contact Leni, myself (0417 308 143), or Viviana Rossios (0410 436 696).

As always, we open the AGM up to all parents to attend.

The AGM’s main agenda items include:

·        President Report – Joe Pulvirenti

·        Vice Principal Report – Larissa Boyhan

·        Treasurer Report – Angela Karbaliotis

·        Election of New Committee Members – Joe Pulvirenti

All PA positions will be vacated on the evening, and as such we will be taking nominations for volunteers for the following positions in 2024:

·        President

·        Vice-President

·        Treasurer

·        Secretary

·        Fundraising/Social Team

·        Father Child Camp President

·        Class Representative Coordinator(s)

·        Uniform Shop Representative

·        Care Group Coordinator

·        Tuckshop

·        General Members

The benefits of joining the St Bedes PA in 2024 include: getting regular updates from Brian and Larissa as to the direction of the school; a safe forum to ask Brian and Larissa questions or requests; getting to know fellow parents; share ideas and or key contacts; if you’re into fundraising and social events, join our dynamic and enthusiastic team in organising and having fun in running events.

There are also low-key roles such as Care Group Coordinator, Treasurer (does not involve bookkeeping, more reporting and co-ordinating) and exec roles and of course Tuckshop and Uniform Shop roles.  If you’re time poor, then why not become a general member of the PA and share your ideas.

All positions are open for nomination, so if you feel you can add value or would like to be in the loop as to what is happening at St Bedes, we would love to see you at the AGM.

The mission of our St Bedes Parent Association is to support our children, our school, our parish community and of course our fellow parents throughout their St Bedes journey. The association is active in fundraising with a view to support the school to continue providing exceptional educational experiences, as well as providing opportunities for parents to socialise and support one another through the joys of parenting primary school children. In essence the role of the parents association is an important one for our school community.

Kind regards,

Joe Pulvirenti

Dear St. Bede’s Families,

We are in need of volunteers for our facepainting stall at our upcoming Market on the Green on the 1st Dec, which contributes to our fundraising efforts.

I know some of you may be shying away right now reading this but let us tell you – it’s SUPER EASY and LOADS OF FUN!

The designs are things like a simple star, a snake, butterflies and rainbow! Rainbows are a rainbow paint pallette and with one brush stroke BOOM you paint on the rainbow – it’s that EASY!

Please get involved and help us to continue this last leg of fundraising.
