Tenpin State Finals
On Wednesday 1st November, our secondary tenpin bowling team competed at the State finals at Rooty Hill. The team of Felicity, Dylan, Tyler, and Kohen finished 4th in the State with close to 200 teams around NSW entering the competition in 2023. Tyler bowled a 212 in his 2nd game which was the 2nd highest score of the day. Students scores were as follows:
Kohen – 92, 94 (186 total)
Tyler – 115, 212 (327 total)
Dylan – 118, 118 (236 total)
Felicity 102, 107 (209 Total)
The organisers of the event mentioned that all teams showed an outstanding level of sportsmanship, skill, and enthusiasm.
Thank you to Mr Gross and Mr Corby who supported the students on the day.
Dream Cricket
Our primary students were treated to cricket games and activities when they attended the annual Dream Cricket event run by Orange Rotary. Despite the wet weather arriving, students were able to head indoors to continue the fun with each student awarded a medallion and iceblock. A special guest appearance by Thor from the Sydney Thunder was an extra surprise for the students. Our students demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout the day. A huge thank you to the primary staff, Orange Rotary and the students from James Sheahan Catholic High School for their support and encouragement during the day.
Term 1 2024 Sport and RDA
Sport choices for our 2024 secondary students for Term 1 have been sent out via the Parent Portal. Please select your first 2 preferences for which sport your child would like to do. We are pleased to be able to offer two new sports at Orange City Bowling Club next term - mini-golf and lawn bowls.
Expressions of interest for 2024 RDA for primary and secondary sport have also been sent out via the Parent Portal. Due to limited numbers, we cannot guarantee everyone who expresses an interest will be offered a spot. RDA is during weekly Wednesday sport and is a full year commitment.
