Year 1 News 

Recently the Year 1 students have worn many hats… poets, authors, dancers, artists, and data collectors!  

Rooms 16a, 16b, and 17 have begun learning our EDU Dance performance. We can’t wait to dance for you at the concert! Traction Man has been our text for Talk 4 Writing. It was lots of fun innovating the text, creating and writing our own stories. In Art, we created our own impression of Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers and Starry Night. In Math, we enjoyed collecting data about our favourite pets. We had to ask our peers a suitable question to gather the information and work out how to display it. We are learning about different types of poetry. So far we have learnt simile poems. As you can see, we have been as busy as a bee!
