Mad Monday Dress Up

Have a look at the dress up through the decades on our first Mad Monday. What a fun day organised by our SRC Team.

Grade Prep

During Inquiry we have been learning about how to look after important spaces and places around us. We listened to a story called "All the way to the ocean"  and discussed why it is important not to litter as it can fall into the drains and pollute our oceans.  We then went outside and listened to an interactive story, we poured in everday items that may accidentally get tipped down the drain at the same time. These items included: dirt, soap, glitter, paint, toothpaste, oil and rubbish from our lunchbox to name a few. We realised after all of this, that the clean drinking water was disgusting, and we need to take care in what we throw away or put down the drain.

In Respectful Relationships, we have been learning about what we are greatful for, it is on trend with being mindful of those who are less fortunate than us in the winter time. We discussed what we are greatful for like: a warm bed, a home, clean clothes, a loving family, safe drinking water and delicious food to eat. We placed what we are greatful for on our gratitude tree and it is displayed in the office area.

Italian News!

Prep children have been enjoying learning about the family through stories.

Year 1/2 children have been writing sentences about different family members independently.

Year 3/4 children have produced amazing research projects about a number of topics such as Italian music, food, sport, cars, art, history etc.  All children have created a google slide presentation; facts, pictures, video clips to portray their findings.

Year 5/6 children have produced fantastic digital restaurant menus.

The children had to create their own restaurant name and design their own logo.   They researched Italian cuisine and created their restaurant menu. Some children also created their own QR Code.   Next week the children will be welcoming our guest speaker Fabio B (Thomas’s Dad from Prep M)  Fabio will speak to the children about his Italian restaurant  48h Pizza e Gnocchi Bar

In Term 3 Fabio will be bringing his restaurant to us and cook with the 5/6 children.
