Principal's Message
Dear parents, students and families,
It was wonderful to celebrate as a whole school our Pentecost Mass- the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birthday of our Church last Friday. Many of the students wore casual clothes with a touch of red, orange and/or yellow which certainly added some colour to the occasion. After Mass the students had the chance to do a variety of cross-age activities organised by our "Our House Spirit' Student Leaders. Well done to them for leading these activities so well.
Last Saturday saw many of the Year 3's, with a sprinkling of other ages, from our school, St Joachim's and our Parish receive their First Reconciliation. It was a respectful and Holy occasion for them and their families. This week's Gospel from Matthew ends with "And know that I am with you always". Hopefully the children felt this on Saturday and also the need to be truly sorry when we make mistakes and the need to try harder in the future as well as make up for whatever it is we have done. Please keep these students in your prayers.
This week our Year 3-6 students are participating in their annual Swimming Program. Thank you to Mrs Ary for her organisation with this. They have seemed to manage quite well with only minor losses of underwear and missing towels which is pretty usual!
The school has recently received a letter from Seaford RSL. They have thanked our community for supporting the recent ANZAC Appeal. They were thrilled to receive $331.60 from our students. Congratulations to all who were able to support our local RSL who always try and support our local schools.
Next week:-
Reconciliation Assembly lead by Fire Carriers on Monday 27th May at 3pm
Year 5 at John Paul College for Secondary experience- Wednesday 29th May
God Bless
