Every day Matters
On Wednesday the 9th of May, our Senior Girls Football team participated in the interschool sport of football. They played really well on the day and came home with a runners up banner! We are so proud of the way they worked together and their commitment to uphold Homestead's values.
Our Senior Girls Netball team participated in the Hobsons Bay Division tournament on the 14th of May. They all played extremely well and represented our College in a spectacular fashion. We are very proud of you!
On the 14th of May, both the senior boys and the senior girls badminton teams represented Homestead with excellence and pride. Both teams came home with premier flags! While they played well, the thing we are most proud of is the sportsmanship they showed!! Well done, looking forward to the regionals!
A huge congratulations to our school futsal team, who are heading to the state finals! We are extremely proud of you and know that you will do amazing. A special shoutout to Mohamed who is showing excellent leadership, as the captain of the team!
Hi
I’m Mila Aziadou a student in Year 10.
I have been dancing since I was 3 years old without ever having lost the passion for this incredible sport. I have spent years training hard, between ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre and much more...dedicating and sacrificing all my free time to chasing my dream.
All this hard work paid off as recently I have been selected in the Team Australia to participate in the next Dance World Cup which will take place in Europe in Prague this June 2024...such a great result for me and a dream come true!
I love performing on stage and this international platform will definitely be an incredible once in a lifetime opportunity.
Unfortunately the costs to make this happen are quite high! So l opened a fundraiser to support the costs with the hope of being supported by the community... any amount of donations would be very helpful and greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Raymond Diho has been selected to represent PNG (Papua New Guinea) in the PNG National Men’s Senior Soccer team.
The team is known as the Kapuls - this means tree wallaby in the local language of Tok Pisin.
Raymond is the youngest player in the squad and is extremely excited and proud to be able to represent the country of his birth.
The tournament is known as the Oceania Football Confederation Men’s Nations Cup 2024.
There are 8 pacific island teams including New Zealand in the tournament that is played over a 2 week period.
The tournament group matches will be played in Fiji, with the finals played in Vanuatu.
The tournament runs from 15th June till the 30th of June.
Raymond has been playing senior men’s soccer for the North Geelong Warriors this season as a centre back or wingback. This has been instrumental to his selection for the PNG National Men’s Soccer team.
Raymond will be flying to Brisbane on Thursday for a training camp, before heading to Fiji for the group games and hopefully to Vanuatu for the final series.
Raymond is a quiet young man that is determined to play soccer at the highest levels- including representing his country of birth. We are all very proud of his achievements.
Well done Ray!
