Donvale Won!

After a successful District Cross Country carnival for Donvale, we were informed this week that due to a recording error, instead of second, Donvale actually came first!  This is a very exciting achievement for Donvale and we are so proud of every student who participated. We will be presented with the shield at the District Athletics event next term

What a fabulous day we had at Ruffey Lake Park last week, with 60 students participating in the Doncaster district cross country. We congratulate all students who represented Donvale so brilliantly and are beyond proud of everyone’s efforts, with many achieving personal goals.  It was also so lovely to see our students helping and supporting their peers out on the course, when they saw them struggling.  This just exemplifies our school value of compassion and show’s amazing camaraderie within our school.  9 students made it through to the Manningham Divisional Cross Country at the Yarra Valley Race Course on Tuesday 4th June, and we’re so amazed at their dedication and effort.

Out of 8 schools Donvale came out on topAn outstanding result for our students and one they should be very proud of. Thank you to our attending staff, Mr Reiter, Mrs Dorman, Miss Bakir and to our parent helpers Caddie and Leah for your assistance out on the course.  I was beyond proud to see every one of our students come over that finish line and could see the determination on their faces.

Here are the results for our 9 Divisional Representatives:
