Join Us for Our Annual Subject and Careers Expo!

We insist that you attend our annual Subject and Careers Expo. Sounds a little pushy, doesn’t it?

But we don’t want you or your student to miss out on this amazing opportunity!

Our Expo is a must-attend event for current and future students from years 7 - 12, and anyone wanting to learn more about pathway and career opportunities

It will be packed with valuable information and insights that will help both parents and students navigate their educational journeys and future career paths.

For Parents and Carers:

Our Expo provides a golden chance to chat with trained professionals who can guide you through the subject selection process, transitions from junior to senior years, and various educational pathways. You’ll get to dive deep into what each subject entails and understand the requirements needed for your child’s tertiary education. You’ll also learn about the options available for studying higher education subjects in senior years. The Expo will offer detailed information about apprenticeships and traineeships, giving you a comprehensive understanding of these career pathways.

Moreover, you’ll get the lowdown on what makes our school so fantastic and how to prepare your child for high school, especially for those entering Year 7. This is your chance to ask questions, gather information, and gain the insights needed to support your child’s educational journey. Our experts will be on hand to discuss everything from subject choices to career planning, ensuring you have all the tools needed to help your child succeed.

For Students:

The Expo is all about discovery, dreaming, and deciding on your future. Whether you’re in Year 7 or Year 12, you’ll find valuable information that will help you make informed decisions about your educational and career path. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, work placements, and work experience programs. These opportunities are designed to give you hands-on experience in various fields, helping you to build skills and gain insights into different careers.

Exciting programs like the Community Leadership Challenge (CLC), White Card courses, and first aid training will also be showcased. These programs not only enhance your resume but also build your leadership and practical skills. You’ll have the chance to talk to industry professionals from various sectors, including The Services, NE Health, Gateway Health, and more. These interactions can provide you with a better understanding of what it takes to succeed in different careers and what opportunities are available in our region.
