The Year 3 & 4 students have continued their investigation into “Why River pebbles are round?” by finishing their Sugar shake erosion experiment this week. Students were given sugar cubes which were then shaken in a butter container 200 times. This allowed students to see how rocks in rivers break and become smooth over time.
In Science the Year 5 & 6 students learned all about tsunamis and then made their own simulation of a tsunami using sand, water, cardboard and other materials. Students have also started the Natural Disaster Design Challenge which involves designing a structure that would help humans survive a natural disaster.
