Prep - Families will give each other directions using positional language to create a picture. How close will your picture look to the  original design?

Grade 1 - Unleash your creativity and construct a tower of imagination, with a twist! No tedious planning permits necessary, nor the hassle of hiring tradies! Embrace the challenge to fashion a tower capable of defying the formidable Grade 1 table wobble! Armed solely with pegs, cups, and craft sticks, let your inventive talents shine as you embark on this thrilling architectural endeavour!

Grade 2- Ready to put your spatial skills to the test? In this intriguing challenge, you're armed with just 6 rods, but your mission is to craft not one, not two, but four perfect triangles!  It's a brain-teasing puzzle that will have you twisting and turning the rods in your mind, seeking that elusive solution. Are you up for the challenge? Let the geometric adventure begin.  Tip: You will need a growth mindset!

Grade 3 - Craft your dream lunch adventure! Families embark on a culinary journey, hand-picking their most coveted items from the tantalizing menu. With every selection, they tally up the delights and compute their grand total. Finally, they adorn their brown paper bag with the precise change, igniting excitement for their expedition to the canteen!

Grade 4 - Buckle up for our Rollercoaster Building Competition! Students team up in groups of four, using materials like pool noodles or cardboard to craft thrilling rides. With guidance from teachers, they experiment with angles, lengths, and heights to create daring, long-lasting, and accurate coasters. Designing their creations beforehand adds an extra spark of creativity. During open night, visitors vote on the best coaster, and students can experiment further with provided materials. Get set for an adventure in innovation and teamwork!

Grade 5/6 - Unleash your creativity and test your teamwork skills with the ultimate challenge: constructing the longest paper chain using just one sheet of paper. Gather your materials and rally your group, or take on the challenge solo if you dare. This isn't just about length—it's about strategy, precision, and innovation. Plan your moves thoughtfully, for every fold and every cut could make all the difference. Will you rise to the occasion and craft a paper chain masterpiece that outshines all the rest? It's time to put your skills to the test and see if you have what it takes to claim the title of paper chain champion!
