Updated Daily Schedule Trial
We are delighted to inform our community that from week 2 in Term 3, we will be trialling a slightly modified daily schedule (see below). While the changes are quite minimal (no change to 300 minutes or instruction time and the amount of time for play), we are hoping to enhance both the learning and play experiences for our students - particularly after lunch. In making these changes, we predict that:
- eating lunch slightly earlier will be better for our students
- the 2 x 30 minute play breaks will result in less student conflict - particularly during extended competitive activities such as football and soccer
- students will be fresher for more focused learning time in the afternoons.
In addition to this, our fortnightly Monday assemblies will be moved to the last session of the day. This will free up key learning time in the morning.

Living Ripples Parent Resilience Survey
This year, Auburn South students, staff, parents and care-givers are being invited to participate in the Living Ripples Resilience and Wellbeing Surveys which will provide our school with data, insights and guidance on how to respond to focus areas that are specific for the school.
As part of the Living Ripples process, the School will receive an online School Wellbeing Action Planning (SWAP) session with the University of Adelaide team. This will support our school in the development of a more targeted approach when considering the resilience and wellbeing needs of our school community.
Students in Year 4-6 will complete the survey at school with the support of their teachers.
Parent Resilience Survey (please complete)
Parents are the greatest ally in the development of young people’s resilience, mental health, and wellbeing. As such, we ask all Auburn South parents and care-givers to taker a few moments to complete the Parent Resilience Survey.
The Parent Resilience Survey is an online survey which collects, analyses the thoughts and feelings of your parents across the 4 domains of: Your Child, Your Self, Your School, Online Supervision.
The Parents Resilience Survey was developed in collaboration with the Department of Psychology at the University of South Australia (UniSA), led by Professor Kurt Lushington and Professor Jill Dorrian.
The Parent Resilience Survey is anonymous, non-identified, all data is aggregated and only reported at the cohort level.
