Head of Secondary Years' Report
Next week is Education Week, which is an annual celebration of public education in Victoria. This year’s theme, Spotlight on STEM, highlights the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in our lives and in our classrooms. In the Secondary Years, we will have a range of different activities throughout the week, including a visit from our Year 1 students who will tour several secondary classrooms on Monday.
Education Week is a good time for us to be reminded about the important relationship between students, schools and families. This is such an important partnership as we all work together to provide experiences, share knowledge and open up opportunities for students to learn and develop. During Education Week, we encourage you to reach out and speak to your children about what they are learning at school and take opportunities to celebrate and share ideas to learn more about STEM.
This week we celebrated Mother's Day a little early with a very special Mother's Day breakfast on Wednesday. This was a beautiful morning of community and it was great that so many mums were able to attend. Special thanks to our wonderful canteen staff for hosting the breakfast.
To all of our mums, Happy Mother's Day for Sunday.
