Mrs Ameera Hassanein

Fatima's achievement is truly impressive, not only reflecting her personal dedication but also uplifting the spirit of our entire school community. Participating in the grand final cross country race, a challenging 3k event, is no small feat. Securing the 34th position out of 100 competitors is truly remarkable.
Fatima, your unwavering dedication, perseverance, and determination serve as an inspiration to us all. You've demonstrated that with diligent effort and unwavering commitment, any goal is within reach. Your success not only underscores your individual triumph but also showcases the resilience and potential of our school community.
Let Fatima's achievement be a reminder to us all that we can 'Aim High' and achieve incredible things when we set our minds to it. Congratulations, Fatima, on your remarkable performance! You've made us all proud. Keep reaching for the stars!
Adjustments to classroom arrangements have been made in response to an increase in students in Year 2. Recognising the significance of reducing class sizes, particularly in this crucial year of schooling, we are delighted to announce the opening of a new classroom in Week 10. This 2/3 classroom will cater to the specific needs of students in grades 2 and 3, allowing for more personalised attention and support.
Ms. Yianni is both the classroom teacher for the new 2/3 classroom and the learning specialist in the junior area. Her expertise and dedication will undoubtedly create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students. These adjustments underscore our commitment to providing the best possible educational experience for our students, ensuring their continued growth and success in their academic journey.
Since Mr. Gallois' departure, our foremost goal has been to guarantee seamless learning for the remainder of this term and beyond. To achieve this, we are currently engaged in a series of interviews with some candidates to find the ideal educator for the upcoming term. As we diligently pursue the best fit for our classroom, these interviews will be ongoing over the next few weeks.
During this interim period, Mrs Retallick has been invaluable, extending her support by assisting on additional days and covering Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for this term. For Mondays and Tuesdays, we're relying on internal staffing solutions, given the challenges in accessing external agencies due to widespread shortages. Updates will be shared via Compass or our school newsletter. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support during this transition, which is crucial for the continued success of our students.
As teachers finalise your child's reports, it's important to note that they may receive either an EAL report or a Vic Curriculum report. These reports will be available online via Compass in Week 11. Before the reports are released, your child will be bringing home reflection sheets outlining their term highlights. We encourage you to take the time to read these reflections with your child and be proud of their achievements.
ParentTeacher Interviews - Bookings for parent-teacher interviews will be open as of next week.
Our school fundraiser is well underway, thanks to Mr. Brettargh's dedicated efforts in organising the event. He has also successfully secured additional sponsorship from our local Mayor and is looking for local businesses to further support our school. We encourage you to share our sponsorship link with any organisation/businesses you know that may be interested in sponsoring your child or our school for this event. Every contribution counts!
