Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Dear Families and Friends,

On Monday 13th May we celebrated a wonderful Mother's and Special Friends Day "Tea-Riffic" Afternoon Tea. We had over 80 adults and their children join us in the Parish Hall, the most I've seen during my time here at St Anthony's. Thank you to our wonderful Choir led by Miss Chatelier entertained us with 3 songs and some spectacular dance moves.

After many much loved years, the time came to farewell our junior playground, demolition  was quick and construction felt even quicker.  Then last Monday morning we had a wonderful surprise, the new junior adventure playground was opened. We have all been having so much fun testing and trying out all the new equipment. We are all so much happier to have a safer and up-to-date playground for our junior school students to play on.

On Wednesday 12th June we have a School Advisory Council Meeting, we will be exploring the MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools) Vision for Instruction and the principles for education in MACS Schools. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Our 3 Way Conversations for students, parents and teachers are on June 25th, please use Compass to book your timeslots. More information regarding how to book is located later in the newsletter.

Prayer for Peace

With many parts of our world experiencing conflict and struggles during this time, I share a prayer for peace.

Have a wonderful weekend.
