ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS' REPORT

PARENT-TEACHER-STUDENT CONFERENCES

Bookings can now be made for our Term 3 Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences. Teachers will be available for 5-minute conversations on both Thursday 5 and Monday 9 September. These interviews will be done remotely using Google Meet.

Normal classes will not run on these two days; teachers, however, will be leaving lesson plans on Compass. This ensures students have work to go on with at home when they are not attending their online interviews. The booking system will close on Tuesday 3 September at 5pm.

McKinnon ELMS Policy 2024

UNIFORM

All students need to be wearing their school uniform correctly. This includes traditional leather lace-up school shoes (not black runners), and the College blazer to and from school during Term 3. The PE Jacket must only be worn on a day when students have Sport/PE.

We will conduct several more uniform checks throughout the term and the Student Managers and Principal Class will be monitoring our students’ uniform before and after school.

STUDENTS RIDING BICYCLES TO SCHOOL

Please ensure your child wears a proper bicycle helmet when riding to school and they take extra care when travelling the narrow streets of McKinnon. We are very worried that some students do not exercise sufficient care on the roads. In addition, it’s crucial that students lock their bike up when leaving it in the bike shed.

We also ask all parents/carers to drive and park cautiously around the College before/after school, and to be mindful of the many students riding bicycles to and from the College. Please note, students must not ride scooters or skateboards to school.
