Message from the Principal

St Peter’s School- an empowered faith community to enrich the world

Welcome to Week 7 Term 1

To provide a vibrant learning culture for our community of learners to thrive, guided by faith and  compassion.

Dear Parents,

As we look towards the end of term (only two weeks to go!), we are deep in preparing our retelling of the Easter story.

Students in Foundation to Year 2 are focussing on Palm Sunday; Year 3 and 4 students will retell the events of Holy Thursday and Year 5 and 6 students will conclude the story with Good Friday, leading in to the joy of Easter Sunday.

You are invited to join us on Monday 25 March, Tuesday 26 March and Wednesday 27 March at 2:30pm on each day to see these liturgies.

Clean Up St Peter's Day

Thank you to our Year 6 leaders for helping keep St Peter's a rubbish free zone!

WhatsApp Community

We are encouraging everyone to join our St Peter's WhatsApp community. This will be a way of parents and carers supporting each other and getting answers to questions from each other, rather than relying solely on classroom teachers.

I remind you of the Parent Code of Conduct that was sent home this year for you all to sign:

This Code of Conduct is based on the following principles that everyone at St Peter’s School:

  • has the right to be safe
  • has the right to be treated with respect and be valued even in disagreement
  • has the right to participate within a secure environment without interference, intimidation, harassment, bullying, discrimination or any harmful, threatening or abusive behaviour
  • is encouraged to be respectful, polite, courteous and considerate of others.

It is expected that every parent/guardian/carer will:

  • behave with respect, courtesy, and consideration for others
  • refrain from all forms of bullying and harassment
  • refrain from any form of verbal insult or abuse and from any form of physical abuse or intimidation
  • refrain from activities, conduct or communication that would reasonably be seen to undermine the reputation of the school, employees or students of the school, including activities on social media

Unacceptable conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • any form of threatening language, gestures or conduct
  • language or conduct which is harmful, threatening, abusive or likely to offend, harass, bully or unfairly discriminate against any student, employee, contractor, volunteer or other
