Performing Arts News
From Dan, Kimalee, and Patrick, Performing Arts Specialist teachers
The Performing Arts team have been enjoying the energy, engagement and enthusiasm that the students are bringing to their weekly sessions. Students have been covering Music, Drama and Dance components has students moving, active, collaborating, creating, as well as learning and applying skills.
At Errol Street, Dan and Patrick have been loving the new Performing Arts space in the Lower Cloud. It’s a great space to run the program, as it also allows us the possibility to collaborate, team-teach and run classes together. This is a valuable and wonderful way of working to share skills and expertise, which then flows on to enrich the program in general, benefiting all of our classes.
Kimalee and Patrick have been running lunchtime clubs – Junior School Choir at MSC and Year 5 Xylophone Group at ESC – and have been working with these students to prepare performance pieces. The students are sounding great! The school have our Harmony Day Picnic coming up on Thursday 21st March which will feature performances from both groups.
