LANGUAGE CENTRE

This semester our students have been settling in well, learning each other’s names, finding their classrooms and learning in a new language. 

It is a huge accomplishment to study in a different country, in a new language.

Our students come from Korea, Ukraine, Colombia and China, and many are in homestays, away from their families. They have been studying English, Maths, Science, PE, Health, Art and Foods. They have earned their Bunsen burner licences, cooked a variety of foods, tried their hands at lino printing, learned a range of sports skills, worked on their writing and reading skills, and practised their speaking skills.

Thank you to all the teachers who have been welcoming and supporting our class, either directly teaching them or having their classes join with the LC students to build friendships and understanding.
