ACTING PRINCIPAL REPORT
Dear Families,
Term 1 has flown by and we are now fast approaching the school holidays.
Yesterday, we had our whole school assembly to celebrate and acknowledge our wonderful 2024 Student Leadership team. We were so pleased to see many of our families who were able to come along to watch their child receive their leadership badge. I encourage families to come to our school events, as you are part of our community just as much as your child.
At the end of our assembly, we celebrated the wonderful achievements of our students who have been involved in activities across the term; from inter-school debating competitions, sporting achievements, the World’s Greatest Shave, and we are thrilled that our students and staff have formed our first ever BSC Cultural Diversity team. As we begin to look forward to rolling into term 2 we will continue to create a foundation for success both inside and outside the classroom for all of our students.

We would also like to update you on some uniform changes for Term 2. There has been a lot of work with our school council, which has been largely driven by our Student Representative on the school council, Abigail Mc Carroll (and our past Year 12 student Finn Robertson). Abigail made the exciting announcements at yesterday’s assembly, and it was heartwarming to see our students’ reactions - they looked so happy. I would like to acknowledge each and every one of our 2023 school council members for their dedicated efforts in advocating for and implementing changes in our school policies. The commitment to fostering positive change and ensuring that our school environment remains safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning is what makes us a strong community.
I wish you all a safe and happy break, and a lovely time with your family over the holidays.
