Introducing our new Image Gallery - pixevity

Dear families,

At College, our connected community is what makes this school so unique.  We are excited to share with you a new photo/video management system we are launching. The number one reason we have gone with this system is the privacy and protection controls, and secondly that we can share the thousands of photos that we take each year of our College students and community.

Introducing pixevety

Our new school Image Gallery is being hosted by pixevety, an Australian photo management service provider with privacy at its core. The platform will assist us in applying parental consent relating to photo/video access and use, with the main aim of supporting our entire community in securely and safely sharing school digital media content.

Why did we choose pixevety for our photo management?

The daily management of school digital media has become a complex task and pixevety delivers one central safe place that staff, students, and parents can access securely. pixevety has built a photo management system designed to exclusively protect the images of children, with all school data securely stored and backed-up in Australia.

Accessing the new Image Gallery

We are very excited to provide this next level of service and protection to our families.

Through the Image Gallery, you can:

  • Easily view and save photos and videos through the pixevety mobile application (available in the Apple and Google App Stores).
  • Submit school photography consent for immediate application to all photos featuring your child(ren) in the school Gallery, at any time.
  • Access daily life moments at school via an easy-to-view gallery layout and special VIPs area. The VIP area is in yellow in the top righthand corner. This is where all photos of your child(ren) are displayed over time.
  • Flag photos of your child/reb that you would like removed or reviewed by the School.
  • Download images of your child/ren for prosperity.

Once registered to pixevety, you can access your My Account area to manage your child(rens) photo consent.

What do I need to do now?

Shortly, you will receive an Image Gallery invite from pixevety that will be sent to the email address you have registered with the school.

You will be asked to register for a personal pixevety account to enable you to instantly connect to our Image Gallery.

  • Please see the attached quick Parent Guide that walks you through this process.
  • Important: For access, you need to register to pixevety using the same email address you provided to the school.

FAQs

Is there an area in the Gallery I can go to just see all my child’s photos?

Yes, simply go to My VIPs as soon as you visit the school landing page.

What are tags?

Tags are used on files for digital identification and searching purposes i.e., netball, Year 10, chemistry, Young House, etc.

How do I change my child’s photo consent settings in the school Gallery?

To launch this system, we individually transferred across all consent settings from Operoo to pixevity.  To review and update your consent settings, the quickest way is to register for a pixevety Personal Account. This allows you to change your child’s consent settings for the school Image Gallery from within your My Account settings.

Why do I have to register to pixevety?

As a contracted service provider, pixevety is acting on behalf of our school as an extension of the school to facilitate photo management. To access the system, you are required to set up an account.

You can learn more about pixevety here.

We are very excited about this new central photo management platform which gives parents greater access to daily school life moments and makes the sharing of such content safe and secure for our entire school community to enjoy.
