NRL Oz Tag/Tackle Gala Day

Last Tuesday, 150 of our wonderful Boambee Public School students from Years 1 through to 6 participated in the NRL OZ Tag/Tackle Gala Day. Boambee Public students made up more than 70% of the students present - fielding the majority of teams in all grades. We were even able to field three Stage 2 tackle teams. The students had a fantastic day, with many students playing their first ever Oz Tag games. A big thanks to Mr Pike for all of his organisation and to all of the staff for their hard work in the sun. At Boambee Public School we have committed to increasing extra curricular opportunities for our students over the next 4 years, this is an example of this commitment into action. Whilst our academic results are outstanding, we are focusing on the joy of education, and success can be found in many different ways!

Mid-North Coast Rugby League Trials

On Tuesday the 26th of March, 15 of Boambee Public School's most talented rugby league players participated in the MNC RL trials at Rex Hardaker Oval in an attempt to gain selection in the MNC team to then trial for the North Coast Rugby League team.

Our students represented the Toormina District and our school with pride as they competed against the Coffs Harbour, Clarence and Nambucca/Bellingen Districts.

A great day was had by all and I am very pleased to say that 6 of our students were selected in the MNC side. We wish them luck in the upcoming NC trials.

Congratulations to Ryan Morton, who was selected in the Open's MNC side, and to Sean Croghan, Ryan Croghan, Noah Hughes, Tyson Heap and Chase Turner, who were selected in the U11's MNC side.
