THRIVE is an evidence-informed framework based on Positive Psychology. Positive Psychology is the scientific study of the conditions and processes that contribute to optimal functioning of people, organisations and communities.
How is THRIVE implemented at LPS?
During the THRIVE Curriculum, students are given every opportunity to learn how to ‘THRIVE’ by participating in lessons that explicitly teach critical life skills, including:
• how to recognise and regulate emotions
• developing resilience
• establishing respectful relationships
• making responsible decisions
• effectively problem-solving
• practicing mindfulness
• harnessing creativity
• taking on challenges and embracing mistakes
• capitalising on their character strengths
• adopting healthy lifestyle choices
• finding meaning and purpose.
