Whole School Events

Thank you to our grade 6 Junior School Council leaders for facilitating our Anzac Day Service last Thursday. We also extend our sincere gratitude to guest speakers Warrant Officer Rhys Gould, Mrs Carolyn West who was a servicewoman in the Royal Australian Navy, and Mr. Ross Wiltshire, former serviceman from the Royal Australian Airforce. Thank you to all parents, carers and extended family members for attending also. Your presence is always greatly appreciated.
Here are some photographs from the event, including poppies and wreaths that our students created. On Anzac Day, Mrs Wood attended the Dawn Service at Caroline Springs with leaders and students from Mackellar (captured below).
Fun With Mum is our next whole school event
Once again, we are excited to announce that we are welcoming our mother's/carers or special person to a wonderful celebratory event to make them feel extra special! Mother's Day is on Sunday 11th of May, so this will be a lovely start to the week for our mums/carers or special person.
On Monday 5th May, our mums/carers or special person may:
dress up 'as twins' or students may wear casual clothes and take photographs at the photo booths set up down the main corridors of the school
enjoy a coffee from the coffee van that will be located in our school's front car park, as close to the school's entrance, from 8.00am until 9.00am
attend our special assembly dedicated to our mums/carers or special person
visit your child/childrens' classroom/s until 10.00am.
When: Monday 5th May
Time: 8.30am to 10.00am
Location: Start with a coffee from Mackellar from the coffee van near the school's entrance. Attend assembly, then visit your child's/children's class.
Mother's Day Stall
Parent volunteers have already generously given their time to selecting gifts from a catalogue for this magnificent stall. Sincere thanks to our amazing parents and carers who are working hard behind the scenes to make this happen for our students.
A huge THANK YOU also to parents and carers who have plans to assist at the stall.
Students will be able to purchase up to 3 gifts that will be priced from $1 to $5.
A timetable will allow students to visit the stall with their class and have plenty of time shopping.
