2025 School Council 

Dear Parents, 

In the coming weeks at school, we have both our Mother's Day event on May 5th, and whole school athletics day on May 7th. These two events are a great opportunity for you to be involved in school activities, and I hope as many of you as possible can come along for the fun. 

Having more and more parents be a part of school events has long been a goal of school council, and we have seen parental involvement increase steadily over the past few years since COVID.  Kids love to see their parents at school, and I know the school loves the interaction with parents, so please be sure to come along. 

At our recent school council meeting, it was decided that the Education sub-committee of council would undertake a review of iPad use at the school. Our Bring Your Own iPad Device (BYOiD) program has been in operation at the school for some time. In keeping with the work we already do on cyber-safety, coupled with concerns from parents about the use of screens at school and at home, school council felt it appropriate to gauge parent thoughts and opinions, alongside teachers, to help it suggest future BYOiD programming. 

Over the course of this term, expect to hear more about this, as well as having opportunities to share your thoughts on the topic.
