Happy last week of Term 1!
This week, as part of our upcoming school review, we had a visit from the Department of Education, School Compliance Unit. The main focus of this visit was to ensure that, as a school, we met all of the minimum standards and maintained our registration with the VRQA - VIcotain Registration and Qualifications Authority. This involved significant documentation checking, including all our School Policies, Emergency Management, Recruitment Processes, Curriculum Delivery, etc. I am delighted to say that we have completed this and are moving on to the next stage of this review process.
A big shout out to our PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY, Caleb, who supported the Principal team to wrap up the term. Caleb sent emails, undertook yard duty, followed up with students, entered Golden Tickets, and always displayed our school expectations. Well Done, Caleb! (he even got to have a special hot cross bun in the staffroom)
Regarding our Principal team, we look forward to Ms Rae Gittos returning to the school next term after a well-deserved break, taking her long service leave.
Please see our Sports Report page for all the Cross-Country news. A special 'shout out' to the teachers who participated in the inflatable race...what a blast! Rumour has it that Mr Dupuy was the winner, closely followed by Mr Jacky. Regardless of the winner, the students had lots of fun and excitement as they watched this special race!
We also held our End-of-Term (Easter) assembly this morning.
What a great way to end the term!
We hope everyone has a very enjoyable holiday and returns safely for Term 2.
