Last Saturday, students from St Aidan’s made their First Reconciliation. It was a very special celebration shared with family and friends. These students will receive the next Sacrament, the Eucharist, on Sunday the 31st of August.
Thank you to all those who helped prepare and organise the students for this special occasion. In particular, I would like to thank Miss Siapkas, Mrs O'Kane, Father Allan and Father Anderson.
On the 17th of March, four representatives from St Aidan's had the honor of attending the St Patrick's Day Mass at St Mary's Cathedral. The event was a beautiful celebration of faith and community, bringing together people from various parishes to commemorate the life and legacy of St Patrick.
We had our annual Fish Finger Fun Day in Week 7. Many of the students enjoyed a delicious lunch while raising money to support others in our community.
The Bishop’s office has confirmed that the Sacrament of Confirmation will take place in the Holy Family Church on June 19th at 6:00 pm. Students in Year 6 will complete the preparation for this sacrament in class with Mr Brett and the help of Father Allan and Father Anderson.
Our St Aidan’s Holy Week Liturgy will be held on Thursday 10th April at 2:00 pm in the Church. This is a whole school event and every student will be involved. All parents, families and friends are warmly invited to our Easter Liturgy. Please be seated in the Holy Family Church by 1:55 pm.
Students will need to wear a simple costume. Please find details for each class below.
Kindergarten - Oversized white or green t-shirt
Year 1 - Yellow or white outfits
Year 2 - Tea Towel and oversized neutral coloured shirt
Year 3 - White outfit
Year 4 - Black outfit
Year 5 - Black outfit
Year 6 - Red outfit
We kindly ask that the costume is at school in your child's classroom no later than Friday the 4th of April in a plastic bag with your child’s name clearly labelled. If you have any questions please contact your child’s class teacher.
We have one final Project Compassion Fundraiser which will take place on Monday 7th of April. Each class will compete against each other to create the longest line of coins using small change. Students are encouraged to bring in coins, both silver and gold. The class with the longest line will win a small purple prize. So far we have raised over $1000!
As always a special thank you to all students, parents and families for their kindness, generosity and support with our social justice outreach initiatives.

When we pray, we grow closer to God, just like when we chat with people in our family or our friends at school. Talking and sharing our thoughts and stories make us better friends. God loves it when we talk with Him in our prayers.
Aidan the Prayer Bear will be sent home with a journal and a set of instructions and needs to be returned each week to pass on to a new family. We also ask you send an email the school office with a photo of you praying with the Prayer Bear just as this family has done. You may be included newsletter.
