Principal's Report

School Review

I would like to sincerely thank all members of the review panel and the staff for their contribution to our school review.  It was a very successful review, and it is always wonderful to hear what others say about our school.  Below is a letter to the staff from our Rachel George our Senior Education Improvement Leader.

8 May 2025

Dear Staff of Beaumaris North Primary School,

On behalf of the review panel, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to you all for your warm welcome and generous hospitality throughout the recent school review process.

We greatly appreciated the opportunity to visit your classrooms and witness firsthand the dynamic and engaging learning environments you have cultivated. Your openness, honesty, and thoughtful insights throughout the review discussions were truly valued and have contributed significantly to the depth and quality of the next strategic plan.

It was clear during our time at the school that Beaumaris North Primary is a vibrant and collegial community. The high levels of student engagement and happiness we observed are a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the staff. Your collective efforts are reflected in the school’s excellent student outcomes and strong sense of community.

The review process offers us all the chance to celebrate the many achievements already realised, while also identifying the next steps on your continuous improvement journey. With the strength of your team and the clarity of your shared direction, I am confident the next four years will bring continued growth and success.

You can look to the future with great optimism and excitement, knowing there will be many more opportunities to celebrate along the way.

Thank you again for your commitment and for the important work you do each and every day.

Warm regards,

Rachel George Senior Education Improvement Leader

Science Program

In the Science room, the students have been making connections to the classroom inquiry unit- Who we are. This week, students explored how fat affects how different substances mix. By using milk, food colouring, and dish soap, we demonstrated how fat in food can impact its behaviour, the role of fats in our food and how it behaves in our bodies.

Special Celebration in our Preps Learning Centre

Last Wednesday afternoon, our Prep students welcomed their mums and special friends into the classroom for a relaxed and enjoyable Mother’s Day celebration. The children helped prepare the space with bright tablecloths, flowers in vases, and some thoughtful handmade cards and heart-shaped crafts. It was clear they were excited to share this special time with the important people in their lives.

There were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy—some students gave massages, applied hand cream, or painted their mum’s fingernails. Others spent time making bracelets, playing Maths games, building with Lego, or putting together craft flower bouquets.

It was great to see so many families in the classrooms, and even better to see the smiles on the students’ faces. Thanks to all who attended and helped make the afternoon so special.

Please see the Prep page for lots of photos.
