Miss Deane - Junior Classroom Teacher

This fortnight in P-2 Deane we have been very busy. During InitaLit groups Mr Stow's group have been learning about Nouns. Their focus has been what they are and how to find them in a sentence. For Miss Deane's Group we have been learning about the letters 'f' and 'r', as well as what words we can now make with all the letters they learnt so far this year.

Our Maths focus this week has been around using 10's frames to represent different numbers as well as different collections to 10.

We were also lucky enough to go on an excursion to the War Museum and the Repair Shed in Bendigo just before ANZAC day. Students where able to learn about the history for different Bendigo soldiers and their lives when they where serving our country. At the Repair Shed students also learnt about how they can recycle different materials in their local communities.
