ANZAC Day

Thank You for Supporting Our ANZAC Day Service

Thank you to everyone who attended today’s ANZAC Day service—your presence and support were truly appreciated. I was incredibly proud of all the students who represented our school with such dignity and respect.

A special thank you to our School Captains, Emily Bailey and Hunter Ryan, who laid a wreath on behalf of the school. We also extend our thanks to Amaya Warke and Sevi Every, who laid a wreath on behalf of Martha Haylett MP. Their involvement reflects the strong sense of community and respect that our students demonstrate so well.

It was heartening to see such commitment from our students—there wasn't a single complaint about the early start! A very special mention goes to Emily Bailey, who not only represented our school with pride and excellence, but also delivered the Ode of Remembrance with grace and confidence. Her clear, heartfelt delivery truly honoured the significance of the occasion and was a moment of pride for our school.

Being part of a school community like this is a true honour.

Well-Being Survey

Help Shape Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Plan

At Bridgewater Primary School, we’re committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of every student. As part of this commitment, we are currently developing a comprehensive Mental Health and Wellbeing Plan as part of the new MHWL initiative—and we want to include your voice in the process.

We’re asking families to share their feedback and ideas on how we can best support children’s mental health and wellbeing at school. Your insights are vital in helping us understand what’s working, where we can improve, and what matters most to you and your child.

In addition to school-based support, we’d also love to hear what kind of information or resources would be most helpful to you at home. Whether it’s tips for talking about emotions, managing stress, or knowing when and where to seek help, we want to make sure we’re providing the right tools for our families.

We really value and appreciate your time in completing this survey to better meet the needs of our students and the school community. As a thank you, families who complete the survey by Friday, May 9th at 3:30pm will receive a FREE hot drink from Coffee on Loddon!

To access the survey, use the QR code on the flyer on the Well-Being Survey page of this newsletter. The flyer will also be on our notice board in the office.

Vouchers will be handed out after May 9.

Please see the Wellbeing Survey page for more details!

Thank you in advance for your support.

Mothers Day

Today we celebrated Mother's Day a little bit early due to our camp next week.

Thank you to all the families who attended our Mothers Day celebration! It was a fantastic morning sharing a meal and having some great conversations. The students were all very proud of the gifts and cards they worked hard to make for their mums.

A big thank you to Bunnings for helping us make the gifts and to Miss. Coffey for organising their visit.

Camp

A reminder that camp is next Wednesday 7th May. Please be aware that a note went home earlier this week which explained how to pay for the camp using the school Saving bonus and the change of departure time.

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF TIME.

We will now meet at the Bendigo Train Station by no later than 8.30am to depart at 8.44am.

As we are using public transport we will not be able to wait for students who are late.
