THE GREAT LPPS BOOK HUNT!
Calling all Langy Park books back to the library! We're on a mission to track down those sneaky school library books that have gone missing. They might be hiding under beds, buried in the wardrobe, Chameleons on the bookshelf or down in the depths of your school bags. All books located will receive a raffle ticket that will go in the draw for a Canteen voucher.
LOUISE PARK AUTHOR VISIT
Our grade 5 and 6 students enjoyed a visit from author Louise Park today, where she shared insights into her writing process, the inspiration behind her stories, and the importance of reading.
The discussion of her historical narrative Last Man Out was especially meaningful as we prepare to commemorate ANZAC Day tomorrow. The book tells the story of her grandfather, John Alexander Park, who was the last soldier to leave Gallipoli. It provides a personal and powerful perspective on the bravery, sacrifice, and mateship of the ANZACs during the evacuation.
Author visits create meaningful connections between students and books, and Louise’s visit will continue to inspire our students to read and develop their own writing skills.
If after today there are students who would like to purchase any of Louise’s books there is another opportunity to do so. Please order from https://www.lamontauthors.com.au/buy-authors-book/
All orders must be completed by Sunday May 4th. Please note that these books will not be available to be signed.
