How to use your School Savings Bonus (SSB)

To use your School Saving Bonus SSB ($400 bonus) you need to have logged on to the portal (refer to the email sent out in November/December 2024 from the department) and allocate an amount to the school to use for excursions/activities first.

If you still have money left and you would like to use it for future excursions or camps you must allocate it to the school.

By doing this now, it sits as credit on your school account to use when your child has an excursion, camp or activity. 

If you're planning on buying uniform with your bonus, you have until 30th June 2025. After this date it will be sent to the school for your child to use for future excursions, camps and activities. Please note that this could take up to 8 weeks to be sent to the school, at this time as they will be doing this for every child in Victoria. Which is why we suggest doing it now if you're wanting to use it at school in the near future. Please note there will be a whole school activity in Term 2.

Attention Families!!

If you have a valid means-tested Concession Card you may be entitled to funding towards camps, excursion and activities. If you completed one last year, you DO NOT need to complete another form we can ROLL IT OVER unless you have a foundation student this year. If you have a foundation student starting, you MUST fill in a new form 

All NEW families to the school, or if you are an existing family and received a valid card in the last 6 months, please complete the attached application form and return it to the Office.
