St Patrick's Cathedral

Celebrating Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral
Last Friday, Mass was held at St Patrick's Cathedral for all of the Melbourne Archdiocese schools. There were close to 300 schools in attendance. It was a wonderful celebration that our student leaders attended. Here are some of their thoughts about the day.
The St Patrick's Cathedral was humongous. Just taking a step in there was amazing. I am so happy tht I got a cange to represent our school in this holy place. It was nothing like I thought it would be. The choir was great and I loved seeing the stations of the cross hung up and the new St Patrick painting. There were a lot of priests and bishops there. Sitting with the other school leaders was great, I got a great view. - Paige
When we got to the Cathedral I was shocked at how big and grand it was. I really enjoyed being there and representing our school. I loved seeing our school captains bring down the banner. I was amazed by the chior singing, it was beautiful and loud, it filled the whole Cathedral. - Macey
I liked the stained glass windows. It was the most interesting and beautiful church I have ever been to. - Sebastain
I liked the music. It was so big inside. - William W
The Cathedral was amazing. It was so big. The stained glass windows were colourful and the Cathedral was decorated beautifully. - James
When we arrived at the Cathedral I couldn't believe how many people were there and how big and tall it was. The Archbishop said that there were aroun 297 schools. There was a line of all the school captains with school flags and the line was so long. I think it was longer than the church itself. Something that was really interesting was that the Archbishop said that there wasn't a picture of St Patrick until that day. I was so cool to be there and I was lucky to come. - Gracie
When I went to the Cathedral I was immediately taken by surprise when I saw a sea of heads adn the incredible interior of the grand and amazing structure. - Will A
It was tall and huge with so many archways and paintings. There were 297 schools with probably thousands of people. Some of them played music and were singing. The light shone through the stained glass windows. Being in the Cathedral made me wonder, how many Catholic schools are there in Victoria? It's crazy! - Lola
I was amazed when I walked into the Cathedral. I loved the sound of chior and the stained glass windows. - Harry
