InquiryRE: 

In Inquiry students are exploring the concept of barriers to learning and living, both seen and unseen, through a Catholic lens. We are discussing how challenges such as disabilities, socio-economic factors, and emotional well-being can impact our lives and learning journeys. Students are also learning how technology can help overcome these barriers, fostering inclusion and accessibility. Through thoughtful discussions and activities, we aim to build empathy, understanding, and a sense of community in our classrooms.

Literacy:

Our Year 3/4 students have been diving into the art of narrative writing, using Roald Dahl's beloved classic, Matilda, as their inspiration! They are honing their storytelling skills by exploring character development, crafting engaging plots, and adding vivid details to their narratives. The students are also taking part in exciting activities that bring the story to life, fostering a love for reading and creative expression. We can't wait to see their imaginative stories unfold!

Mathematics:

In Mathematics we have begun looking at 3D objects. Students have begun looking at the difference between 2D and 3D shapes, and how we can classify them. At home, it’s a great idea to start looking at the 3D shapes you notice in your environments, and asking questions such as how many edges, faces and vertices do they have? 

Reminders

• Student’s need to bring their charged device everyday.
• Canteen on Monday & Friday, student’s are responsible for their own money. 
• Assembly is now held fortnightly on a Friday Morning in the Atrium.
