           Prep - Yr 2

2024 Book Week!

We had such an amazing day for Book Week! We enjoyed the fantastic book parade and then had an author visit us and speak about the books she has written. 

Book Week 2024

Huge thank you to all of our families who went through the effort to ensure everyone looked fabulous in their costumes for Book Week. Special days like this don't happen without the amazing parents and carers we have in our community!

Author Visit

The junior students were lucky enough to be visited by an author, Sarah Speedie, who writes mainly picture story books. She read us some of the fantastic books she has created and some of our students joined her in acting out these stories!

Stop motion animation

The junior students have been exploring technology, in particular, Stop Motion Animation. The 1/2 students are currently writing narratives and over the next few weeks, will turn their narrative characters into the stars of their Stop Motion Animation shows! 

1/2 R visited Prep J to show them their Stop Motion creations and to teach them how to create their own!

Maths:

In Year 1 & 2, the students have been learning about measurement. We estimated and measured length, mass, capacity, area and volume using a variety of formal and informal units of measurement. 

Father's Day

We had such a wonderful morning celebrating the great fathers and father figures in our lives. Thanks for coming!
