Dear Parents and Guardians

Father's Day

 Breakfast

What a wonderful Friday morning we had celebrating the dads. There was lots of laughter, competitive basketball and trivia throughout the morning as well as a breakfast of sausages and bacon and egg Muffins.

A huge thank you to the staff that helped prepare cook and serve the breakfast. I know it was appreciated by all.

Also thank you to the wonderful parents who organised  the Father's Day stall last Thursday. The children were very excited purchasing from the broad range of items available. I hope all the dads enjoyed them!!

Whole School Performance

The students have been practising for the upcoming performance of Madagascar Junior through this term. There is great excitement!! Performances are another form of learning for the children and can give purpose to what they learn e.g. how to be expressive when reading.

You will receive further information regarding the musical later this week.

If you have not purchased your tickets please do so  ASAP. We look forward to 2 nights of entertainment.

To help with finalization of costumes we are asking if the Year 1/2 students could please bring a NECK TIE and the 5/6 students could a Tee of choice that will be kept at school until the end of Term. If these could please be at school by Friday the 6th of September, please hand to your classroom tea

MACSIS Survey

To all the parents who received the invitation to participate in the the MACSIS survey I ask that you please take the time to complete the survey, as it provides great feedback for the schools leadership team.  This feedback is then used to help formulate the  schools Annual Action Plans as well as the  School Improvement Plans ( 4 years).

School Uniform

A reminder to ensure your child is wearing the correct OLGC School Uniform, including socks and shoes. We hope that OLGC School Uniform is a uniform that our students wear with pride.

Riding to school.

Can you please also remind your child to walk their bikes across the  school crossings.  We will  also remind them.
