Principal's Report 

 We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.

Parent, Caregiver, Guardian Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback. The survey, offered by the Department of Education, is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement.

We sent you an invitation to complete the survey via email on July 30. If you have misplaced this, please reach out and we can resend this invitation to you.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will now remain open online until Friday 20 September 2024 (end of Term 3).

Note that the survey has been extended from the original close date of Friday 23 August. 

Your opinions are important to us and will contribute to identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies. The department will use the results from the survey for research purposes and to improve outcomes for students.

The survey is being conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete. It can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.

The Assembly for our Significant Men

We look forward to all of the significant men in our students' lives joining us on Friday afternoon at 2:30 pm, ahead of Father's Day, to be acknowledged and thanked for all that they are and all that they do. 

Family Maths Night

We cannot wait to open the doors and have all of our families join us for Family Maths Night on Monday evening. This event is open to all of our school community - please make sure you RSVP if you are attending.

There will be loads of opportunities for problem-solving, mathematical thinking, challenging tasks, competitions to enter, a family door prize and fun for all!

Open Meeting

The next School Council Meeting is a meeting that is open to all members of our school community. Everyone is most welcome to attend and gain an insight into the operations of the School Council at Miners Rest Primary School. We look forward to your attendance.
