Book Week!
Monday 19th August - Friday 23rd August
We are so excited that Book Week is next week. We have a lot of exciting activities for the children to take part in across the week.
| Monday | Kindergarten - Year 6 Costume Parade will be held at 9:15 in the school gymnasium. Followed by an Award Ceremony, including classroom awards and best costume awards. F-6 Classrooms will be open to families and caregivers after the ceremony for students to share a book and a book response with visitors or a friend. |
| Tuesday | Senior students will be running shortlisted book activities with each classroom. |
| Wedensday | Buddy classroom Book Week games. |
| Thursday | Magical scavenger hunts throughout the school. |
| Friday | Deadline for Book Face competition entries. |
| Kindergarten | Each Kindergarten class will be visiting the Millie Building throughout the week to participate in Book Week activities. |
| Ongoing | Numerous activities will take place in the library throughout the week. Our staff will hold 'Story Time' during recess and lunch times, and students will have the opportunity to participate in challenges and activities. |
Book Face Competition
As part of Book Week, we're excited to announce our Book Face Competition. To enter, simply take a selfie using the cover of a book in place of your face or body part. It may be a bit tricky, so students may need to ask for help lining everything up. We've shared some examples to give you an idea of what we're looking for.
Student entries need to be uploaded to their Seesaw Journal by Friday, August 23rd. The winners will be announced during the assembly in Week 7, on Friday, August 30th.
There will be one Junior Winner from Years F-2 and one Senior Winner from Years 3-6.
