LEAP
Congratulations to all participants in our very first Learning, Engagement & Achievement Program (LEAP). I have had the privilege of working with these students twice a week over the course of twelve weeks, focussing on all things Maths. During this time, students have applied their mathematical understanding, knowledge and skills when completing challenging tasks that have required them to think a little outside the box. Persistence was key, along with an attitude that supported the notion that it is OK to feel challenged, make mistakes and learn from them.
Read what some of our LEAPers had to say about the program below.
Jaxson F - I have loved the experience of learning in LEAP and having Kyra and my friends to help me grow!
Gabe G - In LEAP we have been learning about BIDMAS , fractions and multiplication. Now it is time for LEAP and all our fun challenges to come to a conclusion.
Jack P - LEAP is the most challenging session in the week especially on Tuesdays but we usually figure it out on Friday.
Alex V - I have loved everything in LEAP because it challenges me to step up my thinking to learn more math things like fractions and BIDMAS and colour coding. I have learned and stepped up in Maths and had a challenge.
Arham A - I like doing BIDMAS in LEAP because it was very fun. At first it was challenging but then it got easier the more I did it.
Ava A - I have enjoyed LEAP! My favourite part was when we colour coded all our work and got to colour in.
Braxton P - In LEAP we have been learning about fractions, BIDMAS and other challenging things. I’ve enjoyed the time for our LEAP and all the challenges.
Jed G - I have enjoyed LEAP and my favourite part is colour coding.
